Institute of Sociology of the Centre for Social Sciences of HAS organise a workshop as part of Bilateral Italian - Hungarian (CNR-HAS) scientific cooperation project untitled The role of cultural heritage in social cohesion and diversity of local communities and in sustainable development of rural areas (project leaders: Giuliana Quattrone and Bernadett Csurgó)

The workshop discusses the cultural heritage in the context of local development. Presentations based on different research findings present that cultural heritage is a local phenomenon which is expressed through the place and cultural heritage is significant resource for local development.
