Szikra Dorottya, PhD a TK kutatóprofesszora és osztályvezetője. Legújabb kutatási területe a demokratikus visszaesés és a jóléti állam összefüggései. Vonatkozó tanulmánya Kerem Gabriel Öktemmel An illiberal welfare state emerging? Welfare efforts and trajectories under democratic backsliding in Hungary and Turkey címmel a Journal of European Social Policy-ban jelent meg 2022 decemberében. Szikra továbbá vizsgálja a populista kormányok COVID19-el kapcsolatos egészség- és szociálpolitikáit egy CIVICA kutatási project keretében a CEU Democracy Institute-tal együttműködve. Korábbi, családpolitika-fókuszú kutatásainak összegzése az a Tomasz Inglot-tal és Cristina Rat-tal jegyzett komparatív nagymonográfia, amely a University of Pittsburg Press-nél jelent meg 2022-ben: Mothers, Families or Children? Family Policy in Poland, Hungary, and Romania, 1945-2020 címmel.
